Whether you are working on projects internally or for a client, software development is critical to the success of IBM and our clients worldwide. As such, you should have an expert understanding of specific technologies and tools to create safe, stable, and lean applications that include the Xcode Instruments toolset and LLDB debugger. You'll use these tools along with symbolicated stack traces where available to track down problems, ensure battery consumption is kept to a minimum, ensure network bandwidth utilization is optimized, and to deal with other problems that may arise such as excessive memory usage, deadlocks, and race conditions.

In addition to working with the development teams, you must be willing and able to partner with the product owners, design, and QA teams to help define application scope and determine overall feasibility of a given design as well as work to provide reasonable gut checks on overall amount of effort required to achieve particular goals.

The Weather Company has a global presence and as such the candidate should be prepared to participate in various localization efforts as well as delivering a strong product to all international markets including changes due to cultural differences as well as language differences.

Finally, we pride ourselves on supporting helping to keep all our users safe and you will be expected to continue to increase the overall accessibility of our applications to all users, including those with disabilities. Additionally, we consider safety to also encompass the safety of their private information, and the candidate should be focused on ensuring that the user's privacy is protected at all times in everything we do.
