As a Data Scientist at IBM, you will help transform our clients' data into tangible business value by analyzing information, communicating outcomes and collaborating on product development. Your Role and Responsibilities
We are looking for a talented and passionate ML / MLOps Engineer to join our AI team. Our mission is to build predictive solutions that focus on the business needs of IBM Cloud and Cognitive Software, Watson Advertising and Weather. These include solutions like the IBM Weather Channel app for recommendations based on user activity.
We need an engineer that can bring together the disciplines of DevOps, Data Engineering, Machine Learning Engineering, and Data Science Research into a more efficient and automated streamlined process.
You will be working closely with each team member to understand the team's overall strategy and direction and provide your ML/MLOps expertise in collaborating to design, build, deploy, and operate production pipelines and systems.
You will be essential for enabling the team to produce solutions more efficiently, with high scalability, and reliability of operation using MLOps best practices.
Bring, Build, and Enhance MLOps culture and practices, enabling the team to create solutions with less friction and solid security, and reliability
Add expertise on ML Pipelines (Model serving, Model performance monitoring)
Contribute to design, refinements, optimizations, and scalability for systems operating machine learning pipelines at web scales
Build and lead building automated deployments and operations of AI based solutions
Work directly with team to enable successful deployments and maintainable production systems

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
MLOps lifecycle management (build, deploy, and production support)
Collaboration with a team of data scientists, DevOps, Data, and ML engineers
Python development or a similar programming language
Containerization (e.g., Docker)
Software Orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes)
Cloud platform (AWS preferred)
CI/CD pipeline patterns and best practices
Infrastructure-as-code development (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Chef, ... etc)
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Broad understanding of data science and machine learning.
Popular MLOps tooling (e.g., kubeflow, mlflow, feast)
ML pipelines skills including model serving and model performance monitoring and feedback components
Large-scale production system at web scale with security and high availability
Strong background in Cloud Computing and Distributed Solutions
