IBM Middleware administrator in BRNO, Czech Republic

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Middleware administratoryou will have a great opportunity to configure, operateand troubleshoot Apache and Tomcat enterprise storage environments with extend to the platform andapplications such as a Linux, Jira, Kafka and other software in the client portfolio.You will perform software installation and its maintenance and upgrades. One of the key tasks is to keep the environment documentation accurate and up-to-date to enable fast and smooth team performance and to comply with the security and operational standards and procedures.

Your day to day activities will include:

  • advanced middleware management –deployment, export/import, reconfiguration

  • middleware network related tasks –firewall adjustments, IP reservations, load-balancer requests

  • PKI certification management –creation, exchange, key-store creation

  • advanced middleware reporting

  • Tomcat –installation, instance creation, certificate process

  • WebLogic –installation, instance creation, monitoring configuration, certificate process Apache –installation, virtual hosts management, monitoring configuration, CertMan management

  • Node.js –initial installation, instance creation

  • Java –JDK install/upgrade, dumps supervision

  • security management (violations), file transfer tasks

  • middleware patch management, backup and restoration

  • performance and tuning in middleware layer

  • problem management (problem ticket creation at vendor), root cause analysis

  • overall technical responsibility for MWA stream

  • participation on customer meetings (incident, request, or problem management reports, SLA & KPI reports, etc)

  • SOP (standard operating procedures) documentation updates

  • measures and proposals for MWA service improvements

  • direct work with the client technical personnel

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 3+ years of overall IT systems administration experience

  • Middleware systems operational experience

  • Linux administrators skills -basic knowledge needed

  • Availability to work during out-of-office hours
