Your Role and Responsibilities

As part of our Operations team, you’ll be monitoring and maintaining the infrastructure and various applications in three Data Centers in a technical support role. If there are any issues or changes required, such as infrastructure and access issues, or application issues, you’ll be responsible for reacting to the monitoring alerts.

Most importantly, as businesses cannot afford to be without the whole system, or individual workstations, for more than the minimum time taken to repair or replace them, your technical support is vital to the ongoing operational efficiency of the company.

Responsibilities:

The Operations team is responsible for the maintenance of the application and infrastructure. Project tasks and maintenance tasks are expected to be part of your daily duties. Planned interventions can be combined with unplanned activities, depending on their emergency.

  • Demonstrable customer management/service skills

  • Experience within an ITIL environment

  • Ability to advise others on how to apply processes and policy

  • Proactivity in identifying problems, recommending Service Improvement plans with the possible solutions obtained from technical teams for department or business unit

  • Ability to produce reports using trend analysis

  • Logical thinking with strong analytical skills

  • Based on the expertise of others, if required, to ensure the quality of service/delivery

  • Working with the 1st and 2nd line support teams to ensure incidents data is collected in an appropriate way to support the investigation of trends and problems

  • Minimal SQL and Database knowledge

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • English & German language skills - fluent

  • Recent experience of running one or many of the core ITIL functions, covering Problem, Incident, Change or Release Management, and experience of problem-solving.

  • Ability to cross-match Problems and Incidents of Risks.

  • Significant experience of IT Service Operations, and how an IT installation works across 7 *24.

  • Experience working in large scale environments

  • Experience in managing problems and producing support documentation.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with teams from other disciplines

  • Ability to manage concurrent complex activities to short timescales.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills ( to be able to communicate in such a manner that is understandable to the end customer )

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience in networking support or application support (1 st and 2 nd level analysis)

  • Technical background (studies in Computer Science)

  • Oracle/SQL - DB skills

  • Previous experience in networking support or application support (1 st and 2 nd level analysis)

  • English: Fluent

  • German: Medium

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience in technical support required.
