IBM Security Global Sales Leader - Vendor Focal in Boston, Massachusetts

Your Role and Responsibilities

IBM GBS Security Strategy & Growth (SS&G) is looking for a Security Global Sales Leader to lead security services sales focused on joint sales efforts with Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) (ex. SAP, Workday, ServiceNow, etc.) and Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) (ex. AWS, Azure, Google) to leverage capabilities on both sides, expand accounts, grow pipeline of opportunities, lead joint sales, go to market strategy and communications.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Fostering ISV relationships

  • Identifying new opportunities and building a sustainable pipeline and win record to include IBM security and cloud capabilities to the opportunities

  • Meet with clients for direct conversations around secure cloud and other platform offerings, and provide input to specific opportunities

  • Support deal reviews across the sector and work closely with IBM Security Business Unit to define and create capabilities that can then be translated into service offerings for GBS clients

  • Leverage strong ISV/CSP relationships to collaborate on GTM activity and secure, solution and win deals

You should be passionate about technologies and trends such as SAP, ServiceNow, Workday, HybridCloud architecture, Cloud security, Edge computing, IoT and advanced technologies (i.e., Blockchain, AI, automation, intelligent workflows).

Proven experience working and supporting key industries such as Healthcare, Industrial, Finance, Retail, Government, Energy and Utilities is required. You should be able to translate industry/client’s needs into solution and operation design that is built upon IBM technology and best of the breeds vendor capabilities.

This person will report to the IBM GBS SSG team. The Sales leader will work with various IBM partners (ISVs and CSPs) and IBM internal entities including GBS and IBM Security Business Unit and across functional teams such as the Geo Route to Market (RTM) leads, solution engineers, training, marketing and communications teams.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Strong working relationships with ISVs and CSPs

  • Security knowledge and experience in the cloud provider communities in both public and private sectors

  • Technical security knowledge as well as successful sales experience in a global environment with proven rapid growth and partnership building experience

  • Security and other certifications including ISACA certs (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA), Privacy, Red Hat, AWS, IBM cloud certifications

  • At least 10 years experience in cybersecurity and IT environments

  • At least 10 years global business development/sales experience with successful win record

  • At least 10 years experience in global government and/or commercial consulting

  • Strong cybersecurity knowledge and leadership

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Cloud certifications

  • At least 5 years experience in cloud and application/data security

  • Global sales experience with demonstrated success in teaming with independent partners.
