Introduction
In this role, you'll work in the IBM Storage Engineering team in Bangalore, India. You will work on IBM Fusion Data Foundation, which is a highly available storage solution used to manage persistent storage for containerized apps. You will be part of a worldwide engineering team. You will contribute to Kubernetes and container based object services and advanced workloads using these services. You will play a specific part in defining the architecture for these services and developing our offerings from inception, through upstream development, to delivery.

Your Role and Responsibilities
Design and deploy software components for storage offerings
Work with other engineering teams to ensure that our services meet scalability, availability, security, and performance goals
Communicate feedback from developers to stakeholders; review API designs and test new features
Research and experiment with key technologies, architectures, and standards
Collaborate with customer-facing teams to debug and resolve technical challenges
Build a usage community around the platform by writing technical articles, presenting at developer conferences, and working with contributors
Serve as a community contributor by participating in developer discussion forums, mailing lists, and social media
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
5 years of experience or more in Software Development with at least one language like Java, C, C++, preferably in Go lang, Experience with Kubernetes and the container world, ability to analyze various technological areas deeply and deliver solutions, proficient verbal and written communication in English Primary job responsibilities would be:
Play an active role in several projects and communities.
Create and guide new feature development, contribute to Open-Source projects in Node.js, JavaScript and Go lang.
Coordinate with team leads, architects and other engineers on the design and architecture of our solutions.
Become responsible for product quality, participate in peer code reviews and continuous integration (CI).
Collaborate with IBM's Global Customer Support team and partner support teams on resolving customer issues.
Collaborate with the Quality Engineering (QE) team to ensure that projects will be tested correctly.
Publicize the team's achievements through blogs, web postings or conference talks.
