Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM’s Watson Health Imaging team is hiring a Solution Consultant that’ll be responsible for onsite configuration of our Cardiology Products (Cardio and Hemo) software application as well as consulting and training our new and existing customers.
Installs Cardiology Products (Cardio and Hemo) software application and related integration systems.
Performs onsite connectivity testing to ensure peripheral components are properly associated and installed.
Delivers application and administrative software training to ancillary end users and providers.
Develop and maintain a mastery of Merge applications in order to provide high quality user training which promotes optimal product utilization. Cross trains on Merge product lines.
Understand the applicable clinical work environments and related customer needs in order to successfully integrate the system solution into their workflow and make intelligent recommendations toward the improvement of overall department efficiency through training and education.
Ensure successful implementation and roll out training of the system by conducting system configuration, acceptance testing, end-user training, and follow-up support and training, as needed.
Develop documentation and training materials required to support deployment and internal/ external training.
Quality: Understands that projects worked on may have a direct impact on patient safety. Understands the types of defects that may be encountered as part of job responsibilities.
Security: Understands that all patient information that may be encountered is to be treated as confidential and not to be disclosed under any circumstances.
Pursues a program of self-development through the use of selected reading, seminars, and participation in continuing education.
Identifies and communicates possible improvements in the work process for customers and peers.
Performs other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or upper management.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Clinical experience, preferably in the applicable departments. Experience in direct customer contact, especially in a training and support role.
Expertise in a variety of personal computer and business solutions software (Microsoft office apps, etc.).
Strong knowledge of computer hardware such as: workstations, servers & storage devices
Good communication skills, professional demeanor, appreciation for customer needs balanced with company interests. Ability to establish effective internal, customer, and vendor relationships.
Self-starter demonstrating initiative to develop creative solutions to address project and customer needs. Flexibility and commitment to contribute as needed to the success of the project.
A valid driver’s license and safe driving record is required.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience with Cardiology Products (Cardio and Hemo) or other related imaging software highly desired
Associates degree in Imaging Technologist field, four-year degree from accredited college or university preferred or minimum of 5 years of industry experience.
Strong knowledge of workstation & server OS platforms preferred
