Your Role and Responsibilities

Our Sales Development Representatives are typically recent university graduates or have successfully completed a sales training bootcamp. Although sales knowledge and cold-calling experience is preferred, this background is not required so long as the candidate is a driven individual with the desire to sell our product, learn our technology well enough to explain it to anyone, be creative and persistent in prospecting potential customers. Our sales environment is high-energy and dynamic, where leaders appreciate employees who persevere, communicate and collaborate well.

What You'll be Doing:

  • Identifying essential contacts and target accounts through prospecting

  • Developing a territory plan to penetrate essential enterprise accounts

  • Achieving individual & team metrics through outbound prospecting efforts

  • Ensuring quality of opportunities so they become forecasted pipeline

  • Delivering presentations on account strategy, Turbonomic technology, and the competitive landscape

  • Working with Marketing to complete outbound campaigns around events

  • Engaging in training program to gain expertise in Turbonomic's product offerings and competitive landscape

  • Developing skills necessary for successful lead generation and demo completion

  • Working in a team environment with other Sales Development Reps and Account Executives

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Ability work independently but with a team-oriented attitude

  • Persistence, creativity, goal oriented

  • Passion to build a sales career in technology

  • Ability to adapt and remain confident in a fast-paced, high-growth atmosphere

  • Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills

  • Time-management and awareness of your calendar

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience working in a professional setting, preferably in sales

  • Cold calling experience preferred

  • Understanding of a corporate environment

This position is eligible for participation in an IBM sales incentive plan. Actual incentive opportunity will be based on performance and the eligible Target Incentive, as addressed in the applicable plan, all of which is subject to change.
