Your Role and Responsibilities

At IBM Marketing, we are innovators, problem solvers and risk- takers. We're curious, agile, and outcome driven. Product marketers are customer-centric and know buyer needs and priorities. They understand the technology, anticipate how the market may respond to our products, and create market-relevant positioning and conversations.

As an IBM Power product marketer, you are responsible for the value proposition for the offerings as part of a broader IBM point of view on hybrid cloud and AI solutions. Your focus will be on communicating product value in alignment with sales and product management. This includes messaging across the client journey and development of compelling thought leadership, marketing and sales enablement programs/campaigns to enable effective selling to targeted roles and audiences. You are a focal point for Marketing into other parts of the IBM Power organization such as Product Management, Sales, and Sales Enablement. You will also coordinate with teams in other Marketing disciplines such as Brand, Content, Demand Generation professionals and Ecosystem.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

BA/BS degree or equivalent working experience.

Past experience in product marketing, and/or product management within a technology company.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills - there is a heavy amount of writing, presenting, and selling of ideas in this role.

Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Educate both internal and external stakeholders on our product features and their benefits.

Manage the creation of content (sales documentation, product videos, website copy, blog posts) to articulate the benefits of our products to the world.

Assist sales on calls when appropriate to provide deeper dives into products and services.

Measure and optimize product understanding and adoption for business partner journey as well.

Speak and present both internally and externally to promote the story of our products and services.
