Your Role and Responsibilities

The IBM Garage is a client facing consulting organization that accelerates client value in their journey to the cloud. The IBM Garage combines industry best practices of IBM Design Thinking, Lean Startup, Agile Development, and DevOps to help clients build innovative solutions quickly that are deployed and managed on IBM Cloud.

We are looking for a team member that can help bring our IBM Garage Sales team to the next level. This is a highly visible role that works across IBM to lead new ways of working with Clients. The Garage principal will be a part of the Americas team of Garage sales specialists to achieve success as measured through Signings/pipeline, Revenue, and influence of IBM Cloud SaaS/Product Sales.

The Principal team works with broader IBM sales teams and business development channels to facilitate customer conversations that enable relevant business outcomes that rely on IBM Cloud technologies such as Satellite, ROKS, IBM Cloud, hybrid etc. They also work with the Garage delivery team to align client needs with Garage capabilities and offerings to achieve business value.

  • Deliver Americas IBM Garage Signings objectives

  • Drive sales execution partnered with the boarder IBM sales team on the sales strategy

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Prior sales experience

  • Understanding of IBM Cloud Technologies

  • Understanding of IBM Pricing and Quoting Tools

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Understanding of selling services

  • Experience or understanding of how clients consume/use Cloud Technologies

  • Existing IBM Cloud Platform relationships

  • Know Cloud clients in your respective GEO
