IBM Executive Consultant - Digital Trust - IBM Security in Austin, Texas

Introduction

As a Security Consultant, you will be a key advisor for IBM's clients, analyzing business requirements to design and implement the best security solutions for their needs. You will apply your technical skills to find the balance between enabling and securing the client's organization with the cognitive solutions that are making IBM the fastest growing enterprise security business in the world.

Your Role and Responsibilities

The Digital Trust Executive Consultant provides thought leadership and architectural guidance to our customers in the areas of Identity and Access Management, Data and Application Security, and Cloud and Infrastructure Security. The Consultant will also help solution, sell, and deliver Digital Trust projects covering strategic consulting with IBM Design Thinking, solution implementation and integration, and managed services.

The IBM consulting team provides customized solutions for our customers, not point solutions or basic product installation. You will work with our customers to understand their specific business issues, both internally and externally. You will then provide solutions to solve these specific business issues. This will include recommending and implementing products and implementing process updates. You will be able to look at our customers' issues and provide guidance on a systematic approach to solve these within their budget and timeframe.

The Executive Consultant generally leads a team of at least 3 to 5 people to understand a customer's business, develop requirements and design, and then implement the solution designed. You will also need to be able to develop overall Digital Trust strategies for our customers that will help them transform their Digital Trust programs. Having hands on implementation experience is a requirement of this position, but you will work with and generally rely on technical members of the team to provide detailed product and implementation knowledge for specific technologies.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • At least 10 years' experience with hands on solution design and deployment of identity and access management (IAM) tools.

  • Experience with Cloud solution and integration of IAM, Data, and Application Security tools.

  • Experience developing Statements of Work.

  • At least five years' experience in designing and architecting enterprise security solutions.

  • Experience leading large scale security projects with multiple team members across several domains.

  • Experience utilizing project management software.

  • Experience in Project Budget and Tracking.

  • Readiness to travel 75% travel annually.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience working with and leading offshore teams

  • Experience with IBMs security solutions

  • Certified in CISSP, SSCP, CISA or CISM

  • Fluent in one or more additional languages (e.g. Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, Arabic, Japanese, or Korean).
