Cognitive Solutions Engineering group is seeking a Data Developer who will play an integral role in building innovative and transformative solutions for our partner ecosystem and client success mission. This role has the responsibility of collaborating with stakeholders to integrate and maintain new data pipelines, query structures, and exposing data to other business units.

In this role, you will:

  • Integrate data sources, business intelligence and data analysis tools

  • Deliver data solutions with complex requirements and changing needs

  • Leverage your in-depth understanding of DW implementation and application development best practices

  • Leverage your deep understanding of RDBMS applications as well as relational and dimensional data modeling practices, where best utilized

  • Leverage your understanding of data integration best practices, leading industry applications and features such as master data management, entity resolution, data quality assessment, metadata management

  • Organize and prioritize tasks and document data relations

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 5 years of hands-on ETL experience

  • 3 years of Data Warehouse experience

  • 3 years of strong SQL experience including building and modifying stored procedures, tables, views, and MQTs

  • Strong Data Governance experience

  • Demonstrable ability to be articulate and assertive with client interactions

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience with Airflow and Kubernetes

  • Deployment and automation experience such as Jenkins or Travis

  • Experience with DB2 on IBM Cloud

  • Experience with Salesforce Integration (including Gaia at IBM), Medallia and ServiceNow

  • Exposure to Business Intelligence platforms such as Cognos or Business Objects

  • Experience of successful collaboration with stakeholders, leveraging and relying upon underlying data and data feeds

  • Experience articulating and providing feedback, with an understanding of the impact of solution/issue as presented by offering or stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with Agile Project Management

  • Demonstrable ability to solicit and drive prioritization

  • Demonstrable ability to communicate and drive visibility to work in progress

  • Experience Shell scripting on Linux/Unix

  • Python Scripting experience

  • Domain knowledge of IBM business processes, organization and key customer defining attributes
