Your Role and Responsibilities
Solution Architects in IBM's Client Engineering Team are part of a cross-functional team that delivers a unique client co-creation experience to accelerate client transformation. As part of an entrepreneurial team, you will co-create with clients as the new norm. You will develop the framework and integrated solutions that address the client's business needs while also driving the client's consumption of IBM technologies and services. You will lead all aspects of the integrated solution, from identification of requirements to technical decisions impacting the business outcome. You will collaborate with members of the client team and IBM team to define and execute proofs of concept and minimum viable solutions. You will combine contemporary Cloud, AI and Analytics skills with deep industry expertise and an understanding of the client's business.
This position will participate in and lead a variety of Enterprise Transformation Programs focused on Maximo solutions through all delivery lifecycle stages of a typical software implementation or upgrade. The role will lead efforts to identify and deliver Maximo Visual Inspection , EAM ( Enterprise Asset Management ) or APM ( Asset Performance Management ) solutions to our clients, emphasizing teamwork, customer commitment, industry best practices, and continuous improvement.
To be successful in this role you will need to:
Have prior experience designing new and reviewing existing Compatible Units (CU) library setup, Organization settings in Maximo against the design standards, FERC accounting and asset creation and cost requirements or Maximo Visual Inspection solutions
Conduct workshops with the customers, identify issues with the current CU setup, the use of Compatible Unit Estimation (CUE) in Maximo and recommend changes to leverage the functionality in Maximo.
Implement recommended changes in Maximo and assist in verifying the changes meet the requirements and address the pain points.
Assist customers in deploying the changes in Maximo.
Assist with integration issues between customers' engineering design software with Maximo.
Serve as the overall technical lead and single point of contact for client-facing Garage engagements that include a broad range of cloud technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Cloud Foundry, Container Security, Red Hat technologies (OpenShift, Ansible, RHEL, etc.), and IBM Cloud Paks
Own the solutions architecture plan while being a 'hands-on' builder or developer in a client-facing engagement
Ensure that the solution architecture includes sufficient provisions for security and reliability, while covering customer pain points and anticipated future needs
Perform engagement management duties to ensure streamlined communications and ownership of tasks for one or more Garage engagements
Champion an entrepreneurial mindset and deliver unique value by leveraging industry and technology expertise to drive innovative strategies to accelerate clients' success
Continuously expand essential business, industry, technology, and competitive knowledge
If you are hired into a Colorado work location, the anticipated compensation range for the position 134,000 to 249,000 is based on a full-time schedule. Your ultimate compensation may vary depending on your job-related skills and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
At least 5 years of experience leading customer-facing technical solutions teams in IBM Solutions
At least 2 years of developing collaborative client relationships
At least 2 years using agile practices
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
At least 2 years of hands-on experience in Kubernetes, Docker, Cloud Foundry, Container Security Red Hat technologies (OpenShift, Ansible, RHEL, etc.) and IBM Cloud Paks OR demonstrated deep technical expertise in a cloud-related solution domain such as Data / Analytics, Data Science, Security, or other cloud native, hybrid, or multi-cloud technology
Experience in architecting/deploying/operating solutions built on AWZ, Azure, IBM Cloud, or Google Cloud
8-10 years as a Solution Architect or an IT/multi-cloud consultant
