This role resides within the IT-Operations division of the CIO organization. CIO Hybrid Cloud Platforms provides the platforms and infrastructure that powers IBM, allowing business and application teams to focus on creating the digital business experiences that will drive IBM forward.
Our primary focus within CIO Hybrid Cloud Platforms is driving our CIO Hybrid Cloud strategy forward. The CIO Hybrid Cloud, built with Red Hat and IBM technologies, is the engine for the IBM cognitive enterprise. It provides the speed, scale, and security for IBM's digital business experiences, connecting data, information, and people to bring IBM into the future. We need leaders to join our team that can take an energetic, creative, and collaborative approach to helping to execute our hybrid cloud strategy, particularly around automation. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work on a team with others who share your passion for automation and Infrastructure as Code, collaborating with other teams in the IBM CIO team in developing the next platforms for IBMers in our Hybrid Cloud Experience.
You will lead the development of new automation and systems for both managing infrastructure and the creation of new infrastructure platforms using your significant skills in technologies such as Ansible, Red Hat Satellite, Red Hat Openshift, and more.
A day in the life at IBM (Optional Section)
Develop and iterate on Ansible automation for managing a diverse and growing infrastructure ecosystem
Stand up, maintain, and automate instances of Red Hat Satellite and capsule servers to support a global network
Collaborate with other passionate individuals on automation strategy and best practices
Continuously learn new skills in areas such as programming, AI, and machine learning with IBM's industry-leading library of courses and learning programs
Participate in the development of brand-new technologies in the Hybrid Cloud
Work with a team that believes in a platform that just works the way you need it to, delivering a best-in-class Hybrid Cloud experience for all of IBM

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
3+ years developing (not just using) Ansible Automation
3+ years using and managing Red Hat Satellite or Foreman
5+ years of systems administration experience or infrastructure automation
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience with programming languages such as Python, NodeJS, or Go
Experience writing Ansible Modules
2+ years of experience in Windows Server systems administration
2+ years of experience managing Active Directory, WSUS or similar
3+ years of experience with Kubernetes or Red Hat Openshift, particularly writing operators and similar
