Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Scheduling Product Specialist you have expertise in the mainframe (z/OS) environment. You will perform pre-sales tasks for demos, presentations, and estimates of services for IBM Z Workload Scheduler. You will need to understand migration and deployment activities for IBM Scheduling solutions. The position requires a person with excellent communication skills and technical pre-sales experience.
For this job you will need IBM Z Workload Scheduler experience and a strong working knowledge of IBM Z Workload Scheduling databases and monitoring the workload via ISPF and the Dynamic Workload Console. The position requires that you work as a team member with internal employees, project managers, contractors and customer employees.
This Technical Sales Product Specialist position can be a remote from anywhere in the US as long as you are near an airport. The role could require up to 25% travel depending on your projects and clients.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
5+ Years Mainframe (OS/390, z/OS) and proficient with TSO/ISPF, Job Control Language (JCL)
5+ Years IBM Z Workload Scheduler experience
Excellent communication skills
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience deploying IBM Z Workload Scheduler
Basic z/OS System Programming knowledge/skills
Technical pre-sales experience
Workload Automation Programming Language experience
