Your Role and Responsibilities

Your Role and Responsibilities

We are currently looking for talented "hunter" type professionals to join our Business Development team.

As an Inside Sales/ Business developer, you will be responsible for generating awareness of IBM Simpler services with the goal of producing qualified leads to be used by the sales teams.

Essential job responsibilities

  • Source and qualify new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails

  • Understand customer needs and requirements while developing relationships to potential clients and pipeline

  • Effectively communicate and evangelize the Simpler value proposition through proposals, demonstrations, and presentations

  • Drive qualified opportunities to the appropriate IBM Simpler resource, and thru sales process to closure

  • Own, achieve (and plan to exceed!) annual targets across your accounts

  • Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest

  • Maintain and expand a database of prospects within assigned territory

  • Team with IBM Simpler Business Development leaders, Partners, and Subject Matter Experts to build pipeline and close deals

  • Participate in online presentations to prospects and entire sales cycle as appropriate

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 3+ years of experience in sales related to role (such as process improvement, operational excellence, or transformation)

  • Demonstrated record of achieving goals and quotas

  • Proven successful record in communications (written and oral) and interpersonal skills in person, over phone and email

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels, including executive and C-level

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience with large scale client engagements

  • Experience in Professional Consulting Services
