IBM Application Architect - EAI in Atlanta, Georgia

Introduction

As an IBM Application Architect, you directly help clients transform their business and solve complex problems. You will define the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of IBM platforms. You are a technical leader, serving as a liaison among business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing technical thought leadership to enterprise integration modernization program for our clients

  • Understanding client requirements for modernizing their integration platforms in preparation towards their journey to cloud

  • Designing and developing solutions, preparing business cases, proposals and presenting them to clients in shaping up their delivery modernizations

  • Providing technical expertise to implementing and managing complex enterprise-level integrations utilizing Software AG WebMethods integration suite

  • Serve as a technical expert to mentor and groom the team to drive large and complex implementations

  • Adopt to IBM or client agile delivery practices and deliver projects

  • Develop skills in various integration and cloud technologies and continuously evolve self and client solutions

  • Establish design patterns, coding standards, architectural guidelines and delivery practices for the teams and ensure compliance

  • Be part of our growing cloud, hybrid integration and application modernization practice and continuosly transform self, our practices and solutions developed for clients

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

A minimum of five years of hands on experience in below areas of webMethods Integration 10.x suite:

  • Strong Development, Admin and Support experience on webMethods Integrations

  • Implementing and integrating with RESTful API & SOAP web services

  • Implementing messaging integrations using Universal Messaging / Broker / External JMS Provider

  • Working with standard message formats/handlers including: XML, XSD, XSLT, JSON

  • Experience in monitoring and managing integrations in MyWebMethods Server

  • Implementing B2B solutions with Trading Networks & EDI Module

  • Experience with webMethods version Upgrade project

  • Leveraging CI/CD/DevOps related toolsets and processes

  • SoftwareAG DevOps, Asset Build Environment (ABE), Jenkins etc.

  • Experience with Unit Testing Frameworks using WmTestSuite

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Knowledge or Experience in SoftwareAG tools such Command Central, Optimize For Infrastrucure (OFI), and Insight

  • Knowledge and Experience with webmethods.io & containerization

  • Hybrid integration and Integration Platform as a Service (IPaaS)

  • API management

  • MFT - file transfer

  • Security
