IBM Workday Recruiting & Onboarding Lead in Amsterdam, Netherlands


As a Package Consultant at IBM, get ready to tackle numerous mission-critical company directives. Our team takes on the challenge of designing, developing and re-engineering highly complex application components and integrating software packages using various tools. You will use a mix of consultative skills, business knowledge, and technical expertise to effectively integrate packaged technology into our clients' business environment and achieve business results.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Assists clients in the design, implementation, and support of the Workday Recruiting module. This specialty uses consulting skills, business knowledge, and packaged solution expertise to effectively implement the functionality into the client's business environment in order to achieve client expected business results. This specialty includes implementation planning, fit analysis, facilitating design sessions to gather requirements, configuration, unit testing, rollout and potentially post-implementation support. Consultant resolves configuration and functional business issues across the various HR modules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct working sessions with clients to gather and analyze business requirements; ensure client takes advantage of Workday best practices

  • Design and implement requirements in the Workday Recruiting solution, building consensus around business processes and design

  • Provide subject matter expertise regarding key business process decisions related to industry and/or functional areas

  • Demonstrated ability to manage project scope and client expectations

  • Develop, demonstrate, and deploy the Workday Recruiting solution

  • Engage in the sales process to gather information about projects including background and broader context to implement the Workday Solution for: Talent, Recruiting and Learning

  • Work with clients to help convert legacy data into Workday and assist clients in testing the Workday solution

  • Leverage prior Human Resources / Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience

  • Demonstrated follow-through on assignments and issue resolution

  • Provide mentoring and guidance to newer consultants

  • Coordination of implementation work done by Recruitment & Onboarding consultants across multiple geographies including overseeing configuration work done by our Global Delivery Team in India/Groningen/Romania/Poland

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • At least two successful full-cycle implementations of Workday Recruiting, in a lead role

  • Maintains certification in Workday Recruiting, attending training, participating in knowledge sharing, and using self-study to keep up to date on changes and enhancements.

  • 4+ years' experience configuring and implementing Workday or experience as a client of Workday through an implementation

  • Ability to manage work, lead a workstream, and mentor junior team members

  • Workday Human Capital Management (HCM)

  • Workday Recruiting

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience

  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral

  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
